BHM Dinner Series: Chef Marcus Samuelson

Join us in February for our Black History Month heritage celebration dinner series:

Earlier this month, we celebrated the cuisine of Chef Tanya Holland and the flavors of Fat Tuesday and Mardi Gras.

This week, we are featuring Chef Marcus Samuelson. Chef Samuelson is an Ethiopian-born Swedish-American celebrity chef, restaurateur and television personality. He is an acclaimed chef behind many restaurants worldwide, including Red Rooster Harlem and Marcus Montreal.

February 20th Chef Marcus Samuelson:

  • Helga’s meatballs or plant-based meatballs with lingonberry preserves
  • Pickled cucumbers and braised cabbage
  • Pumpernickel dinner rolls

February 21st Chef Marcus Samuelson:

  • Tea glazed grilled salmon or tofu
  • Hoe cake
  • Caramelized brussels sprouts

  • February 27th Bon Appétit Sous Chef, Richard Dawkins: Jamaican curried chicken or tofu, rice and peas, plantains, escabeche cauliflower
  • February 28th Bon Appétit Sous Chef, Richard Dawkins: Aunt Pauline’s pulled pork sandwich, black bean burgers with jerk sauce, traditional Panamanian green salad
